Speech Recognition Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting steps for speech recognition troubleshooting.
If you're speaking during a session but the system isn't recognizing it, follow these steps:
1. "No speech was detected" Error
- If you receive this error, it means your microphone was on but the system didn't pick up any words.
- Ensure you are speaking clearly into the correct microphone.
- Check if your microphone is physically muted via a hardware button.
2. Audio Quality and Volume Errors
If the application shows specific error messages about your microphone input, adjust accordingly:
- "Your audio is too quiet": You need to speak louder or move closer to your microphone.
- "Your audio is too loud" (Audio peaking/clipping): You should move the microphone back a bit or speak softer.
- "The recording was too short": You didn't speak long enough for the system to process the answer. Try again with a longer response.
- "Audio quality is too low" / "problem with the audio quality": There is too much background noise or your microphone is muffled. Move to a quieter area or use a headset.
3. "The session state is out of sync" Error
- If the transcription stops working and you see this error, your browser lost sync with the backend. Refresh the page to resume from where you left off.
Still not working?
